Who can join?

Anyone interested in art information is welcome to join ARLIS/NA New York.

Benefits of membership:

• Invitations to all ARLIS/NA New York chapter events and meetings

• Access to the ARLIS/NA New York Chapter Membership Directory

• Free or discounted attendance at members-only ARLIS/NA New York events

• Opportunity to contribute to the ARLIS/NA New York Newsletter
  

The following benefits are available only if you are also a member of ARLIS/NA:

• Voting privileges for official ARLIS/NA New York business

• Eligibility to hold chapter Executive Board office

• Eligibility to apply for the Celine Palatsky Travel Award to support attending the ARLIS/NA conference

Types of membership:

• Personal ($25.00) - Must be purchased with ARLIS/NA membership through arlisna.org

The following levels can be purchased with or without a membership to ARLIS/NA directly through the New York chapter’s website:

• Student (Free) – Image of current school ID must be uploaded when creating your account.

• Unemployed/Bridge (Free)

• Retired ($15.00)

Not a member of ARLIS/NA? You can join the New York chapter as a Friend and enjoy chapter privileges:

• Friend (non-voting/non-ARLIS/NA members) ($30.00)

Personal-level memberships are based on a calendar-year membership term, which runs from January 1 - December 31 each year, in compliance with the ARLIS/NA membership term. All other membership levels (Student, Retired, Unemployed/Bridge, Friend) are based on a rolling membership term, which runs one year from the date of sign-up.

Please note: To be a member of ARLIS/NA New York with complete privileges, membership in good standing in ARLIS/NA is required. Membership at the personal level may now only be purchased with ARLIS/NA membership; please see the ARLIS/NA website for more details. Non-members of ARLIS/NA may affiliate with the Chapter as a Friend, Student, Unemployed/Bridge member, or Retiree.

*Important note for members joining or renewing chapter memberships through the bundled ARLIS/NA option: Our membership rosters are updated on a monthly basis following communication from ARLIS/NA headquarters. If you joined the chapter through ARLIS/NA, but have not yet been updated in our system, please contact the membership coordinator,membership@arlisny.org
