Tour of the Hudson River Museum

There is still room to join us for the event this coming Saturday. It will be a beautiful day for an outing to the Hudson River Museum!

Join your fellow ARLIS/NA New York members for a guided tour of the 

Hudson River Museum on Saturday May 13th starting at 11:00 am. The tour will be guided by a museum curator and will last approximately one hour. The tour will be capped at 30 participants and admission to the museum is free with your registration. Guests are also welcome.

The Hudson River Museum is located in Yonkers, NY and is about a 50-minute train ride from Grand Central Station. The closest stop is Glenwood on the MetroNorth, which is about a ten- minute walk from the Hudson River Museum. Attendees will be responsible for coordinating their own transportation to the Hudson River Museum. Please plan to arrive at the Glenwood stop by 10:30am to have time to walk to the museum and check-in for the tour. Free parking is also available at the museum.

We also recommend a stop to the nearby Untermyer Gardens Conservancy, which comes highly recommended by Yonkers locals! For the entire month of May, Philippe de Montebello, Director Emeritus of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, is also hosting NYC-Arts from the Hudson River Museum.

This exciting tour is FREE to ARLIS/NA New York members thanks to a generous donation from our Honorary Lifetime Chapter Member Debbie Kempe. Her gift will cover the cost of tour fees from the museum. Immediately after the tour, Debbie will also host a light lunch at her house directly above the museum (a ten-minute walk), and all attendees are invited. She can also provide car service to the Glenwood train station for return to NYC.
